Description

Decom Cleaner & Decontaminator is a premium tank cleaner and decontaminator that contains Benzoic acid, mono-alkyl derivatives, compounds with 2-aminoethanol, Ethanolamine, Tetrasodium (hydroxy ethylidene)bis phosphonate, Ethoxylated alcohols, and other nonhazardous ingredients. Combining these ingredients offers superior cleaning and decontamination capabilities compared to simpler formulations. Benzoic acid derivatives, for example, have antimicrobial properties, while ethanolamine and its derivatives can help dissolve grease and grime. The phosphonate and ethoxylated alcohols may enhance cleaning power and improve the product’s ability to penetrate and remove contaminants.

Situation: Cleaning & Decontaminating of Spray Equipment

Use Rate (Decom in clean water): 250mL per 100L

Comments: Use DECOM for the removal of residues and decontamination of spray equipment when switching from one herbicide to another, or from a herbicide to a fungicide, fertiliser or insecticide, and at the end-of-season sprayer cleanout.

Situation: Cleaning & Decontaminating of Spray Tanks

Comments: For tanks with unknown contents or cleaning history, soak all internal surfaces, lines, filters, nozzles, etc., for at least 24 hours in DECOM solution at the label rate.

Note: For extra ‘sticky’ combinations (e.g. carfentrazone-ethyl/glyphosate, Valor®/glyphosate, etc) the cleaning solution should remain in contact with all internal surfaces of the spray equipment for at least 24 hours to increase product residue removal.

There are no toxic chemicals contained in the Decom Spray Tank Cleaner & Decontaminator. As long as the tank is cleaned and decontaminated with Decom as per the instructions, plus triple rinsed with fresh water before carting water for stock, it should be ok. We can't vouch for what Agricultural Chemicals might be hidden as hard solid residues in the pipes or cracks of the tank, but even if there were a trace of these chemicals, their concentration would be so low as ppm that it should not cause problems.

Tips For Use

General Instructions:

Decontamination Procedure

This procedure must be followed for all equipment used in the spraying process, including venturi-style hoppers, premix tanks, transfer systems, suction hoses, filters, tanks, tank lids, strainer baskets, booms, spray lines, nozzles, etc.

Drain all spray equipment. Wash the outside of the spray equipment with a label rate solution of Decom to remove any product contamination.
Rinse or pressure clean the inside of all equipment with at least 1/10 of the tank capacity of clean water and drain.
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and add the total tank label rate of Decom. Start agitation and flush all equipment for a few seconds, with boom-end valves open and/or bungs removed. Close boom-end valves and/or replace bungs, then stop the flow to boom and completely fill the tank with water. Allow to stand for at least 15 minutes (or 24 hours for certain combinations – See the ‘Note’ in Direction for Use Table) with the boom closed and agitation running, then flush all of the solution out of the spray tank via the boom, lines and nozzles.
Clean separately with a fresh solution of Decom and water at the rate of 25mL in 10L all other components such as nozzles, non-drip diaphragms, screens and filters.
Do a final clean water rinse after following the Decom cleaning process above.

Storage:

Keep away from food, drink, and animal feed.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

Safety:

It is harmful if swallowed.
Irritating to eyes and skin.
Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
